1966 Volkswagen Bus

CK found this 1966 Bus in Brentwood CA. Straight, virtually rust free with a somewhat temperamental 1600 dual port motor with a single carb. Right now we've ironed out most of the glitches and are still running reduction boxes. Ten has been the maximum head count for the Oakland Bus run for group Chinese dinners. Roof Rack.

Interior is sparce with no headliner or carpeting

Also liked to throw the fanbelt until the generator pulley nut was replaced

Typical bus stop.

Greg at the Vintage Warehouse "Drop Shop" set up CK's bus with drop spindles, a rebuilt tranny, and straight axles.

Sweet! It's down about 5" from where we started - a mild drop in the world of slamming busses - but it drives and rides better than stock height, and shifts better too!
