Fiorenzo Tirrinanzi and Jeff Glenn Win ACRL's
"United We Stand" Enduro at Las Vegas.

brought it home."
Oakland CA, (November 5, 2001) - JAG Promotions announced
today that the Carbir CS2 driven by Fiorenzo Tirrinanzi and Jeff Glenn won the
ACRL's first ever endurance event. The one hour race format included a
mandatory five minute pit stop. Team Hollywood Engineer/Crew Chief Eric Purcell
called a refuelling strategy but no tire change for both of the Hollywood cars.
Glenn started the car on the outside of the front row beside Peter Zarcades.
After an exciting 4 lap battle, Glenn found a way by Zarcades, and built up a
34 second lead before bringing in the yellow number 72. Fiorenzo got out of the
pits with more than 26 seconds on second place- but it was a close one.
"To build a lead, I worked the tires on the car a bit. Towards
the end of my stint, the car had become slightly loose - Fiorenzo was less than
happy with the way the car felt - but he did a great job of hanging on ." Glenn
said.
"This car is undriveable" - Fiorenzo relayed to Eric Purcell in
his second lap at speed.
In the closing stages of the race John Lombardo, in the number
73 Team Hollywood Carbir closed in on Fiorenzo, but late in the race, the
transmission stuck in third gear. Fiorenzo, with a handfull of opposite lock
held off the one -speed Lombardo car, and the cars crossed the line
one-two....
