Urban Style Celebrity Birthday Profile:

Perku Nathiswaya, October 18th

Most hardcore auto enthusiasts are familiar with this international playboy who promotes a worldwide network of exotic and collector car dealerships. Nathiswaya's Exotic Kar Konnexshun franchise started an internet frenzy of international car sales revolving around elaborate shipping arrangements and cashiers checks from various lending institutions. His stint as the General Manager of Sierra Leone Mining Corporation (SLMC) Freetown is well documented, but Perku was bitten by the car bug long before his mining success.

Nathiswaya made his first visits to the United Stated back in the late 1950's. Traveling under the assumed name of Bill Freed, he attended the DeVry Institute of Strip Mining in Angels Camp California. He made many trips down to San Francisco in his 1956 Corvette. After the DeVry training, he returned to Sierra Leone to establish his first mining operation.
With the first mining operation up and running, he returned to the West Coast in 1962 on a privately charted PAN AM flight, and promptly purchased a new 1962 Porsche 356 using a simple piece of paper certified by a lending institution called a cashiers check

Perku talks with Captain Stubing about his new 356.

Before long, Perku (under the assumed name Bill Freed or William Freed) was collecting sports cars all over the US, and storing them wherever he could. Ramshackle barns, and garages of the elderly proved to be the least expensive storage option. Perku's British car collection is but one of many auto collections Perku amassed using this technique.
