Dear Mr. James:
Thank you for your prompt reply to my previous letter regarding wire wheels for my 1948 MG. I understand and sympathize with your reluctance to become involved in importing a product which you do not normally handle; However I would appreciate your inquiring of your English associates as you offer in your last paragraph.
I have inquired extensively among local dealers and can find no-one who can give me satisfactory information on obtaining wheels for my car. There are wheels available, but none of them fit, for one reason or another. I was referred to you originally by Mr. Lendal Gray, of Santa Rosa, Calif, who purchased a set of wheels through your organization several months ago. Mr. Gray tells me that he inquired directly of your Coventry Associates, and was informed that they could furnish the wheels, but that they would have to be ordered through you. He did so, and they proved very satisfactory. I have delayed answering your letter of June 6th because Mr. Gray offered to send me his correspondence with you. It has not arrived yet, however. When I saw him last, he could not recall who it was in your company that he had corresponded with.
Thank you for your courtesy.
Very Truly Yours
John Vander Male
