The star of all of the parking lots was the Abernathy's Vista Cruiser "Bar Car" Wagon. In the photo above right, the yellow arrows are pointing to the two CHP cruisers parked 30 yards from the rolling open container.
The Citroen wagon had been rescued from 12 years of slumber, and had been on the road just a week before the event. Two radiator fixes and some brakework was apparently enough shakedown for the 1000 mile trip.
A&W in Hollister was the official lunch spot on Friday. Looked like a Sports Car American Graffiti...
